ACTS
The purposes for which the Advisory Commission on Textbook Specifications (ACTS) is organized is to improve and advance American education through the close cooperation and mutual assistance between the State Instructional Materials Review Administrators (SIMRA, formerly NASTA), The Association of American Publishers (AAP), and the Book Manufacturers’ Institute, Inc. (BMI) in setting manufacturing standards and specifications for textbooks.
